To A LONG DISTANCE FRIEND
Hey Long Distance Buddy
Sitting at another place
I wish you were by my side
And we could share the same space.
I might not tell you this
But I do miss you a lot
I might not express it to you
But I regret the times we fought.
There are times when I fret here
And there must be times when you fret there
There are times I wish you were here
And to all my issues, you could lend an ear.
But every time I get your call
Be it at three or at six or nine
I get so busy in hearing your stories
That I forget to tell you mine.
When you start with your problems
And the things you face there
I get so engrossed in your voice
As if I were sitting there.
And when you tease me with your jokes
I sit at my bed and to laugh, I try
Though at the sound of your voice
I just wanna break down and cry.
I want to tell you what bothers me
And all those things which make me happy and sad
I want to tell you what happened here
And all those things which are good and bad
But every time I choose not to speak
And hang up the phone with a heavy heart
With a hope that the next time we talk
I'll take a chance to start.
The next time your name flashes on my phone
And the next time I hear you speak
I'll try to tell what all happened
And all those things that made me bleak
Till then buddy take care of you
And try to fight the wars you face
And here I'll do the same
With all my strength and pace.
